Announcement of ITQs Luncheon Briefing

PERC, Environmental Defense, and the Reason Foundation cordially invite you to be our guest at a luncheon briefing titled "Overcoming Hurdles to Implementing Individual Transferable Quotas (ITQs) in the U.S. Fisheries."

The purpose of this luncheon briefing is to provide you an opportunity to hear from experienced fishermen on contentious issues, such as processor quotas, sunset provision and transferability. While ITQs have proven effective in ending the race for fish in commercial fisheries, they are controversial.

These veteran fishermen, along with Don Leal of PERC and Michael De Alessi of the Reason Foundation, and Pete Emerson of Environmental Defense, will discuss ways of overcoming the main obstacles to implementing ITQs.
